Slovenia issues its first digital sovereign bond, BNP Paribas says
PARIS, July 26 (Reuters) -Slovenia has issued its first short-dated digital bond, BNP Paribas BNPP.PA said on Friday, with the French bank acting as global coordinator and bookrunner for the transaction.
Slovenia's digital securities, worth 30 million euros ($32.57 million) with a coupon of 3.65%, are due Nov. 25, 2024, BNP said in a statement.
They were issued on Thursday on Neobonds, BNP's global markets' private tokenisation platform, the bank added.
A tokenisation platform facilitates the creation, management, and exchange of tokens, or digital assets supported by blockchain technology.
