UK Stocks-Factors to watch on Oct 17
Adds new items, updates futures
Oct 17 (Reuters) -Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher on Thursday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.1%.
* ENTAIN: British gambling group EntainENT.L raised its 2024 net gaming revenue outlook and said it now expects core profit for the year to be towards the top end of the 1 billion pound ($1.30 billion) to 1.1 billion pound range.
* RENTOKIL: British pest control company Rentokil InitialRTO.L said its profit and margins in 2025 will behurt by a delay of about two to three months in realising synergies from its acquisition U.S. rival Terminix.
* MONDI: British packaging company MondiMNDI.L said trading conditions remained muted in the third quarter, after it reported alower core profit compared with the previous three-month period, partly hurt by more planned maintenance shutdowns.
* MAN GROUP: London-listed Man GroupEMG.L reported an 8%rise in assets under management to $174.9 billion for the year as of Sept. 30, during a quarter of heightened market turmoil.
* ST JAMES'S PLACE: British wealth manager St James's PlaceSJP.L reported anincrease in funds under management for the third quarter, as client risk appetite remained strong throughout the quarter.
* N BROWN: N Brown GroupBWNG.L said its fourth-biggest shareholder Joshua Alliance willbuy the British online retailer for about 191 million pounds.
* DELIVEROO: British meal delivery company DeliverooROO.L said it wason track to meet its annual financial targets after posting a 6% rise in sales by gross transaction value (GTV) in its third quarter.
* OIL: Oil prices edged higher on Thursday.
* EX-DIVS: Smiths Group SMIN.L, Persimmon PSN.L, Howden Joinery HWDN.L and Spirax SPX.L will trade without entitlement to its latest dividend pay-out on Thursday.
