Med crude-Urals diffs steady, Azeri BTC down on offer
MOSCOW, Oct 17 (Reuters) -Urals crude oil differentials to dated Brent were steady again on Thursday, while Caspian Azeri BTC eased on offer in the afternoon trading session.
Resumption of Libyan crude output after a political crisis over the central bank slashed the OPEC member's exports to a four-year low, has led to a surplus in crude supplies in Europe, forcing competing sellers to cut their prices, trading sources and analysts said earlier this week.
Britain said on Thursday it had imposed sanctions on 18 more Russian oil tankers and four liquefied natural gas vessels, the largest batch of sanctions to date against Russia's so-called "shadow fleet".
Russia's Urals prices were below the Western price cap level of $60 per barrel on Tuesday and Wednesday after a fall in global oil prices.
PLATTS WINDOW
BP offered 650,000 barrels of Azeri BTC from Ceyhan for Nov. 2-6 loading down to dated Brent plus $1.00 per barrel, but nobody was interested.
No bids or offers were shown for Urals or CPC Blend in the Platts window on Thursday.

Russia's Foreign Ministry said on Thursday that new British sanctions on Russian oil and gas tankers showed Moscow's status as "a reliable energy supplier" did not suit London, the state RIA news agency reported.
